Best Way to Apply Eye Drops
Eye drops are essential for tired and dry eyes. There are plenty of medicated eye drops that can control dry eye and even bacterial infections that need to be healed. There is no wrong way to put eye drops into your eye but there are simple methods to do so.
Types of Eye Drops to Use
For an infection, doctor prescribed drops will have to be used. For any other reason there are special types of eye drops to get rid of certain symptoms. Some eye drops are especially for tired and red eyes, others are for burning and allergic eyes. There are a few medicated eye drops on the market that can be used for a minor infection although they tend to burn a bit. All eye drops have special purposes for the user, you just need to know which kind you need and what your symptoms are.
Putting in the Drops
The most important thing is to not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye, especially if you have an infection. This is the easiest way for someone else to get it into their owns because of eye sensitivity. You will have to look up before putting the drops in or else they will run down your face and most of the medication will not reach to your eye.
Another good way to do so is to tilt your head up and pull on your lower or upper lid to insure the drops go into the eye. This may sting, but at least you know you it’s working. Keep blinking for a few seconds so your eyes get adjusted. If you need another drop, repeat the same process.
