Code of Conduct for a Bed & Breakfast Establishment
In most bed and breakfast associations there is a code of conduct that has to be followed when serving guests of the establishment. As a guest when you check into a bed and breakfast with a code of conduct you know exactly what to expect ahead of time.
Code of Conduct
The code of conduct varies for each bed and breakfast establishment but the one thing they do have in common is that every establishment needs to be clean, have helpful staff and have fair and open policies.
Clean and Comfortable
The bed and breakfast association requires their members to have a high standard of cleanliness, comfort and courtesy. These are elements that all good bed and breakfasts are required to have. A clean and comfortable place to stay with friendly service will go a long way towards bringing people back to stay over and over again.
Prices and Policies
Upfront prices and policies are also a requirement of most bed and breakfast associations. You are supposed to define at the time the customer books for a room the reservation, confirmation, deposit, cancelation and refund policy of that bed and breakfast. That way there are no misunderstandings later and everyone is satisfied. Other bed and breakfast associations stress that the bed and breakfast always acts with integrity and never deceive any customer about prices and advertising.
Service
Customer service is a must in any hotel, store or bed and breakfast. It is required that the bed and breakfast employees be on-site whenever any guest are staying on the property. They are also instructed to always be courteous and handle any problems quickly and to be friendly and efficient.
