How to a Write a Bed & Breakfast Menu

If you have decided to open up a Bed & Breakfast business, you will need to put plenty of effort into preparing a detailed breakfast menu. Your menu should include a wide variety of different breakfast foods. You should also put thought and effort into the design of the menu so that it is engaging to all of your guests.

  1. Decide what breakfast foods you would like to put on the menu.

  2. Organize the food that you will serve under certain sections on the menu. For example, you can create a detailed section for eggs. Underneath the egg section, you would make a list of all the different kinds of eggs you can prepare at your B&B. Omelets and scrambled eggs should definitely be on the list, as they popular choices.

  3. Add plenty of mouth-watering pictures to your menu. Try to take your own pictures of actual dishes created in your kitchen instead of using images on the Internet.

  4. Create a low-calorie section on your menu. With the increase in obesity rates, many people are actually trying to lose weight. Having a low-calorie section on your menu is great for those who want to enjoy a delicious breakfast without all the extra calories. Many people on vacation will appreciate a low-calorie choice as most travelers dine out while on vacation.

  5. Create a section on your menu for chef specialties. The food items in this section will be some of the chefs most favorite recipes to make.

  6. Offer breakfast appetizers on your menu. Appetizers can include sweet rolls, muffins and doughnuts.
