Easy to Make Birthday Decorations

Birthday parties are so much fun and so is making the decorations. Save money by making your own birthday party decorations. There are a ton of fun and creative ideas for each birthday party of the year. Use your imagination and creativity to construct a set of fun birthday decorations. 

• Gather materials for your birthday decorations. Birthday party decorations can be expensive, so why not create your own? Gather balloons, construction paper, string and any other craft materials you have available.


• Blow up several colored balloons (or use helium). Whatever it takes to blow up a ton of balloons to create a balloon banner is well worth it. Take a piece of Styrofoam and begin placing the balloons on the back. This makes for a fun decoration and a very colorful decoration. Tie a bunch of balloons together for a very dramatic birthday decoration.


• Create a homemade banner. Banners are a very fun way to decorate for a birthday party. Use stencils to draw out the name of the person or even the letters “Happy Birthday.” Use different colors of construction paper for a creative look.


• Make a piñata. A piñata makes for a very fun birthday decoration and will be loved by all partygoers. You can create this piñata by using tissue paper to paper Mache your chosen design.  Poke a hole at the top of your homemade piñata. Of course, do not forget to add the goodies!


• Make confetti with recycled paper.  Use different colored construction paper to cut up into tiny pieces of confetti. The kids will love throwing the homemade confetti around, and add glitter for a fun affect.
