How Have Baseball Parks Changed?

Baseball has been a favorite pastime since the 1800s.  Visiting a baseball park to see a game is a fun activity for all ages and all walks of life. With the modern upgrades and changes to baseball stadiums, the event is a much more accessible and interactive experience.  Things have changed drastically since the 19th century baseball games, and it's clearly seen in the modern ballparks.

  • Visiting a baseball park is so enjoyable these days.  There are big screens and high tech speaker systems to allow you to see and hear parts of the game you may have otherwise missed even fifteen years ago.  There is a wider selection of foods and drinks to please all appetites.  There are the standard snack foods like popcorn, pretzels and hot dogs, and now chicken, baked potatoes and sandwiches.  There are giveaways like hats, t-shirts and cups, raffles to enter and many different kinds of entertainment during a game.  Modern music blasts through speakers, and trivia questions are often posted on the big screen.

  • The stadiums are made to be much more comfortable and relaxing.  The seats are wider and easier to get to and there are even more of them.  Most stadiums have a family seating area which is separated from the rowdier fans.  Restrooms are maintained by an attendant and offer modern conveniences with automatic sinks.  The days of waiting in line for a bathroom are gone with a restroom located at every entrance.

  • Baseball parks are much safer, too.  There are detection devices upon entering and security checks to make sure nothing dangerous or illegal is being brought into the park.  The parking lots are patrolled and brightly lit with security guards willing to escort you to your car.  You can be happy knowing you are safe while enjoying the comforts and conveniences of a hassle-free modern day ballpark.
