How To Access Free WiFi At McDonalds Restaurants

McDonald's is the most popular fast food restaurant in the world. The reason they are so popular isn't only the taste of their food, but that they are always looking for ways to improve their service and target more customers. One such improvement was adding free wi-fi hot spots to their restaurants. Here is how you use the hot spots to access the internet.

  1. Make sure the McDonald's you wish to visit has a wi-fi hot spot. In order to do this you can call and ask them, or if you prefer you can check online. You can find out which McDonald's locations have wi-fi available at their website. Once you are logged on to their website, go to the services tab and click on "free wi-fi". You will need to put in the location of the store in order to find out if it has wi-fi for customers.

  2. Turn on your device. If you are using a laptop you must first make sure it has a working wireless card. Many of the older models are not equipped with a card. If your laptop does not have a wireless card or the built-in card is broken, a card can be purchased at any computer accessories store.

  3. Open the internet browser of your choosing. If you are in a McDonald's restaurant that does in fact have wi-fi access, you should see a browser which prompts you to connect to McDonald's wi-fi. Select the Wayport_Access network name option. Refresh the browser that you have open. You should be connected to McDonald's wi-fi hot spot now. If you are not connected, check to make sure your wireless card is in correctly and on. Then repeat the process.
