How To Program Car Alarm Remotes

A car alarm remote can be programmed from your driver's seat, and is much more simple than it sounds. The only thing you will need is your remote and the car's ignition key. The process easy with certain key turns and button presses. You will be able to program your car alarm remote as frequently as you want, and will be able to use the alarm right away.

Instructions:

1. Get into driver's seat and leave the door open. Turn the key to the "Run" position.


2. Press and hold the "Program" button on the remote one time within 15 seconds. Then push and hold the button again. The car horn will beep or chirp during this process, but you should continue to hold down the "Program" button.


3. Click the button on the car alarm remote that you would like to program, while still holding the "Program" button.


4. Listen and wait for the car to either chirp or the horn to beep again before releasing the "Program" button. This will indicate the programming of the alarm was successful.


5. Repeat this process if you have other buttons on your car alarm remote to program.
