How To Remove Stains From a Pool Liner
If you have a pool, chances are you are going to experience a stain or two on your liner over time. Do not worry; stains can easily be removed from your pool's liner in no time. All you need to remove a stubborn stain is a scrub brush and chlorine tablets or liquid chlorine to remove even the toughest stains quickly and easily.
- Purchase a soft bristled scrub brush or a pool liner brush from your local home improvement or pool supply store. If you choose to use a scrub brush, be sure to purchase one that has soft bristles so that you do not damage you pool's liner during the cleaning process.
- Add chlorine tabs to your pool using a chlorine tablet dispenser. These dispensers are inexpensive and can be purchased at your local home improvement or pool supply store. If you keep a chlorine tablet floater in your pool it will prevent many stains from forming.
- Add a small amount of liquid chlorine to your scrub brush and scrub the stubborn stains with a scrub brush in a circular motion until the stain has been effectively removed.
- Try a metal cleaning and removing product if your stains are metallic based. Pool liners often become stained when they come in contact with your pool's liners for any extended amount of time.
- Purchase a metal cleaning and removing product from your local home improvement or pool supply store. These are inexpensive, usually around five to six dollars. They work by adding chemicals to you pool that will combine with the metal particles and cause them to fall to the floor of the pool. You will then need to vacuum the bottom of your pool to remove them.
- Shock your pool regularly with pool shock. You can purchase pool shock at your local pool supply store or even at a general store. Regularly treating your pool's water on a weekly basis will both remove current stains as well as help to prevent any future stains from forming on the liner of your pool.
