How to Accessorize a Bridal Gown
After the time you invest in finding the perfect wedding dress, taking time to accessorize can seem like a huge task. Luckily, it is consider one of the easier parts of wedding planning. Remember to keep it simple and not over shadow the dress with your accessory choices.
There are several areas to concentrate when you look for accessories. Concentrate on your head and feet. Leave your hands unadorned, if possible. The focus should be on your wedding set and nothing else.
For the head
- Choose your hairstyle and decide if you will use a veil. Some veils also have a hairpiece to hold them in place; others only use a simple comb. Tiaras are another great choice for simplicity. Beaded bobby pins look amazing if you are going with an up do.
- Pick earrings and a necklace that match and are simple in design. Do not pick heavy stones. Let your earrings and necklace be a small addition to the overall look.
For the feet
- Choose shoes with little to no heel. You will be on your feet for hours and you will get tired. If you have to have the heels, be sure to add a comfort pad to the inside and bring along slippers to put on later in the day.
