How to Attach a Belt Buckle
Attaching a belt buckle is a simple way to add some spice and personality to your look. It is easy to do and takes less than a minute to complete. Most belts come with the option of taking off the existing belt buckle and attaching a new one.
Items Needed
- Belt with removable buckle
- Exchangeable buckle
- Get a belt that allows you to take off and put on other belt buckles. Belts that allow that will have one end that folds onto itself and snaps to one of the ends.
- Get another buckle that is able to be taken on and off belts. A buckle that can do this will have loops on the back of it, which attach themselves onto belts. You can find these buckles in clothing stores or specialized belt and buckle stores.
- Lay the belt and buckle near each other. The buckle should be turned so the front is looking you and the belt should be facing so the bottom is looking at you.
- Unhook the belt and move the end of the belt through the attachment on the buckle. Hook it closed around the belt.
- Check the belt to make sure it is secure around the buckle. It should not move and be attached to the belt.
Tips:
- Not all buckles will have snaps on the back. Some will have strings or ties, and even buttons on the back of them. Be sure they are compatible with the type of belt you want to attach them to.
