Obtain a copy of the local zoning and building code requirements.
If required get a building permit.
Take the measurements: height, length and width of the entire space to be enclosed.
Purchase an enclosure kit from local home improvement store.
Locate the studs already positioned in the house. Begin the framing where the studs are located.
Additional support beams may be needed to go around the perimeter.
When framing, be sure to take into consideration any doors or windows that will be installed later.
Put up the sheetrock when the frame is in position. The sheetrock can be hung from the support beams and the studs. To speed up the process, sheetrock screws can be used to secure the sheetrock.
When the sheetrock is in place the doors and windows can be hung in the frames.
