How to Build an Indoor Golf Driving Range
Improve your golf swing in the comfort of your own home by putting together your own driving range. You do not have to travel to the nearest golf course, or risk hitting a neighbor’s window. Instead, create your own practice space without inconveniencing anyone.
Things You Will Need:
- Tape measure
- Golf net
- Golf mat
- Golf balls
- Golf clubs
- Measure the area you wish to build the driving range in. You must take practice swings at full range, but not full force, to ensure that you have enough space. If you use full force, you could easily damage your property if a wall is too close or if the ceiling is too low. Instead, simply go the full range of motion at a slow speed and with light pressure. If you have extra space around the space it takes you to swing, you have enough room.
- Test out the various brands of driving range equipment at your local sporting goods store. Since there are many to choose from, you want to make sure that you get the best option for your home. Choose the brands that work best for the space you have and the style you are going for.
- Set up the golf net and mat in your home so that the net is at the far end of the room. Make sure to take the measurements and dimensions with you when purchasing the net, since these come in a variety of styles and sizes. Make sure that you have enough space for the mat as well.
- Purchase golf balls and clubs so that you are fully equipped and ready to practice as much as you want.
