How to Build an Indoor Golf Driving Range

Top Indoor Golf Games

Golfers are active people on the go and they are always looking for ways to improve their game. You may not always have the time to go to the driving range to practice a bit of putting, so the next best thing is putting in your own home. Make your own holes, lay down a few swatches of artificial turf, design your layout and you can have your own top indoor golf games.

  • One of the simplest putting greens to make in your home is an indoor obstacle course. You decide how simple, easy or complex to make your design. It is easier to play if you have a large sized room to provide adequate space, but smaller rooms will work okay too. Make cut-away holes out of paper or cardboard or select objects for targets and place them in strategic positions throughout the room. Identify each hole with a par number determined by how difficult or easy the shot may be. Keep track of the scores as you play through the game and the person with the low score wins. One or more people can putt through the course.

  • Spend a few dollars for some artificial turf or indoor putting greens. Lay out the putting greens on the floor that lead to a hole. Make it harder by placing magazines or newspaper under the turf creating a gentle hill to test your skills. Practice your putting until you feel like a pro.

  • The "Best Out of Ten" game is popular, easy and perfect for a small group of people. Competition among players makes the game when you try to win by sinking the most balls in the hole for a total of 10 shots. Set up a strip of artificial turf with the hole at the end and let each player take a turn putting.
