How to Buy Army Surplus Gear

Army surplus gear is usually reserved for recently enlisted soldiers but for the ones not enlisted there are a couple of ways to obtain army surplus gear. Enlisted members can purchase additional Army Combat Uniforms at their local Army base, or military surplus stores. Civilians can get most of the same army surplus gear at pawn shops and online.

  1. Travel to the local army base and talk to the persons on post at the “clothing and sales” store. Enlisted men can buy the bulk of the items that they need at the clothing and sales store, from physical training gear, to class A uniforms; even miscellaneous items such as T-shirts, boots, and hats. All the items bought in the clothing and sales store can be tailored to fit you at the store also.

  2. Look at a military surplus store. Military surplus stores provide army surplus gear to all persons. Military surplus stores tend to have discount prices and good deals on clothing. Check the yellow pages of the local phone book for listings of military surplus stores in your area.

  3. Browse online for specialty army surplus gear dealers. Militaryclothing.com and Soldiercity.com are good sites that cater to army surplus gear. Other sites catering to army surplus gear are Supertrooper.com and MarlowWhite.com.

  4. Drive to the local pawn shops and inquire about their selection of army surplus gear.  The selection at a pawn shop can be limited. It is best to check the pawn shops in military towns; they are more likely to have a larger supply of army surplus gear.

  5. Ask soldiers that you may know about their recommendations on how to obtain army surplus gear.
