How to Buy a Used Lawn Mower
Times are pretty tough economically right now, so if you need a new mower for your yard work, why not buy a used mower and save a few dollars? There are many ways to get a great deal buying used lawn equipment and still get your money's worth without sacrificing quality.
Classifieds Online
- Check Internet classifieds to save money when buying a used lawn mower. There are many sites that will have ads in your city and the surrounding areas. Craigslist is very popular, and many people shop there for sale pages to get great buys each day. You can also check out the free section, as people moving or just letting go of some things to free up space may have what you are looking for.
- Backpage is another online classified site where many consumers buy and sell products. Just like Craiglist, you can find a large variety of products here, including lawn mowers and yard equipment.
Small Engine Repair Shops
- Don't forget about these small shops, as they tend to always have mowers in stock that are used and running well. Many times people bring in their mowers to get worked on and either cannot afford the bill or never pick them up.
- Ask for a warranty if you buy one of these. There is a good chance they will be running great, as each was worked on before being placed for sale.
Pawn Shops
- Stop by a few pawn shops and see if they have any used mowers for sale. Pawning mowers is more common then you may think and most can be picked up pretty inexpensively. Make sure you test them first and get information on the return policy. These are not generally worked on at all.
