How to Change the Cabin Filter on a Mitsubishi Endeavor
The cabin air filter in the Mitsubishi Endeavor helps keep the air coming into your vehicle clean. If there was no air filter there would be dust and dirt particles flying throughout your car. These air filters do a good job of keeping these particles out without having to be changed often. According to Mitsubishi, the requirements for getting a new air filter are every 15,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first.
Things You’ll Need:
- New cabin air filter
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Open up the glove compartment.
- Unscrew the four screws holding the glove compartment in place. There are two screws inside the glove compartment on the top and two on the bottom. Use your Phillips head screwdriver to remove all four screws.
- Release the stop bar, which will be located on the right side of the glove compartment.
- Pull out the glove compartment and once the compartment is almost out, you need to un-attach the wire that lights your glove compartment.
- Remove the cabin air filter cover by pushing on the two tabs located on the cabin air filter. This will release the cover.
- Pull out the old filter and insert the new one. Insert the new filter correctly by making sure that the arrows on the filter are pointing up.
- Put the cabin filter cover back on and snap into place.
- Secure the glove compartment back in place and make sure to reattach the light wire before putting the glove compartment all the way into the slot.
- Put the stop bar back in its position.
- Using your Phillips head screwdriver put all four screws back into the glove compartment.
