How to Remove the Dash on a Mitsubishi Endeavor

In order to remove or replace the dashboard in your Mitsubishi Endeavor you may have to remove several surprising parts of your car's interior. Be sure to keep track of all of the screws and smaller parts that you remove so you are able to replace them all properly.

- Disconnect the battery in your Mitsubishi Endeavor. Any time you work with the electrical system of a vehicle you should always disconnect the battery.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the glove box. Remove the glove box entirely.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws underneath the dashboard. Remove the lower dashboard entirely.
- Pry the radio's faceplate carefully away from the dashboard. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold in the radio.
- Disconnect the radio wires from the Endeavor's electrical system. Set the radio aside.

- Remove the frame around the instrument panel. Use a screwdriver and carefully pry the faceplate up.
- Remove any screws holding the instrument panel in place and disconnect the wiring from the vehicle's electrical system. Set the instrument panel aside.
- Remove any screws holding the upper dashboard in place. Carefully remove the upper dashboard and set it aside. Replace any portions of the dashboard that need replacing and be sure to attach all of the electrical parts back to the electrical system properly. If you have any difficulty remembering how the electrical portions were attached, consult your Endeavor's user manual to make sure you reattach each piece correctly. Do not reconnect the battery until you are finished attaching all of the electrical devices.
