If you have a lawn mowing service you must know how to market it to businesses, renters, and homeowners in order for it to be successful and profitable. Businesses and homeowners hire lawn mowing services because they simply do not have time to keep their lawns looking good. They depend on professionals to make sure their lawn looks good.

  1. Decide
what your target market will be. For instance, you may want to focus
on businesses exclusively, homeowners, or approach apartment
complexes. Get a list of zip codes that you wish to service. Keep in
mind that you will have to travel with your equipment to each
location, so you want to keep it close to your home and then you can
branch out as your business grows.

  2. Write
down what services you will offer your clients. For instance,
straight mowing, edging, sweeping, raking, and any other type of
lawn service. Price each of these. The best way to remain
competitive if you are a new business is call some lawn services in
your area and find out what they charge for the services you plan to
offer. Inquire as an interested customer. Call about five different
companies and then make your prices a little less, this can give you
    an edge.

  3. Create
professional looking fliers. If you do not know how to do this, have
some one that does. You can place these fliers with your services
and an incentive for using your company in neighborhoods, hand them
out to businesses, and so forth. In addition, you need some business
cards made so you can always leave them with potential clients.

  4. Call
apartment complexes and businesses in your area to see if they need
a new lawn service. Pitch your services and offer a discount or a
trial run. You may find several that are unhappy with their current
lawn service and take you up on your offer.
