How to Choose a Good Aromatherapy Fragrance
Aromatherapy fragrances come from essential oils. The smell of the various concentrated oils can literally change your mood and offer some healing properties as well. The olfactory receptors are very powerful and can cause you to feel uptight or relaxed. Think about the last time you visited a hospital, the smells probably caused nervousness and anxiety.
- Choosing an aromatherapy fragrance
truly depends on your tastes and what smells good to you. Some
people like the smell of the masculine sandalwood while others
prefer a more flowery scent. Obviously, if you do not like the oil
scent it will not do much to help you as far as healing or
relaxation. - Go to a local store where they
sell a good selection of essential oils. Sometimes you can find
these at health food stores and they will have several that you can
smell. Be sure to use something to clear your olfactory receptors
between smelling oils so that you get the full smell. One of the
simplest ways to do this is by smelling regular coffee beans between
sampling the scents. - Check to make sure the
aromatherapy oils are pure and do not have the words “Perfumed
oil” because this is not the same. Essential oils are very potent
and a little goes a long way. Therefore, it is vital to read the
labels. - Look at the bottle the
aromatherapy fragrance oil is in. If it is in a plastic bottle,
think twice about buying this because essential oils and plastic do
not mix well together and you will lose some of the potency of the
fragrance. Moreover, the aromatherapy oils are very sensitive to
light and therefore, the container should be a dark glass bottle to
make sure you get the full fragrance of the oil.
