How to Choose a Tuxedo for a Prom
She said, "YES"! The cutest, nicest girl at your school said that she would love to go to the prom with you. You blow a kiss to the sky. Now that the nerve-wrecking part of asking her out is over, it's time to pick out a tuxedo. Your father said that he would help you out with the transportation, but that you would be on your own looking for a tux. Calm down, you'll find one. At least she said, "yes."
- Go by what your date will be wearing. It is always good to coordinate with each other. If she is going to wear a classic ball gown or something haute couture, definitely wear a tux with tails. It wouldn't hurt to go with the white tie, also. If she is going to be funky, modern and trendy, a pinstriped suit (custom made, if possible), with a matching long tie would be smashing.
- See what others are wearing. Look inside the latest teen fashion magazines, especially the prom issue. You don't have to look exactly like them, just mentally take some notes of what you want to look like and what you don't want to look like.
- Ask your friends and family members who may have already attended their proms. Look at their pictures or ask your cousin to go with you to the store.
- Make sure it fits. Whether buying it off the rack, renting it or having it custom made, make sure that you are properly measured to wear it.
