How to Clean Flexitec Vinyl Flooring
Flexitec vinyl flooring is durable and water resistant. The floor is easy to clean, and it is best to clean it with gentle vinyl floor cleaners and soft mops to avoid scratching or damaging the vinyl flooring. If well maintained, Flexitec flooring will last many years.
Items Needed:
- Microfiber dust broom
- Vinyl floor cleaner
- Bucket of water
- Sponge mop
- Microfiber cloth or towel
- Use a soft, microfiber mop to sweep the floor and remove any dust, debris or food particles that may be present on the floor. Sweep all the debris into a dust pan and dump the dust pan into the trash. Sweep the Flexitec Vinyl Flooring daily to keep it clean and well maintained.
- Purchase vinyl floor cleaner from your local home improvement store. Pour a capful of the cleaner into a bucket of water and mix it thoroughly. Dip a sponge mop into the bucket and wipe it across the floor. Mop the entire floor and allow it to dry. Mop it again and allow it to dry thoroughly. Rinse the mop between each stroke to remove the dirt and germs from the sponge mop. Refill the bucket with clean water.
- Use a soft, microfiber towel to dry the floor. The towel helps remove any dirt or grease that was not removed with the mop. Wipe the floor in smooth, long strokes to avoid leaving behind streak marks. This prevents water spots from forming on the floor and allows the floor to be used quickly, which will reduce footprints.
