How to Connect Dance Dance Revolution Controllers

Dance Revolution is a popular dance game that can be played on various types of game consoles including computers. Instead of using hand controls, Dance Revolution uses a dance mat controller, which the player moves around on to play the game. The dance mat controllers plug into the game console the same as hand controllers.

Step 1: Lay the mat down flat on the floor in front of the TV you will be playing the game on. Smooth out any wrinkles or rolls that may be in the mat. The flatter the mat, the easier it will be to play the game.

Step 2: Locate the cable that attaches the game mat to the game console. It should be on the front of the mat. Pull the cord to the console to make sure it will reach. You may need to position the mat closer to the TV or game console for the cable to reach it.

Step 3: Find the controller ports on your game console. The ports will be located in the front of most consoles. You can also check on the side or back of the console. Plug the dance mat into the port. Some games may require you to remove your other controller to make room for the dance mat controller. If you are playing Dance Revolution on your computer, the dance mat controller port will be a USB port. These ports are usually located on the bottom front of the computer tower or the back.

Step 4: Start the game and make sure the controller is functioning properly. If it is not, you may need to check to make sure the port is working, or the cord is completely plugged into the port.
