How to Create a UPS Shipping Label
United Parcel Service is a package delivery company that offers service throughout the world. Its website can create shipping labels for its packages, which you can print with your own printer. This feature is available at no charge to UPS account holders.
Items Needed:
- Printer
- Scissors
- Tape
- Self-adhesive paper
- Start your web browser, and go to the UPS website. Create an account on this website if you don’t already have one. Sign onto your UPS account.
- Place your cursor over the tab on the UPS home page labeled “Shipping” to display the shipping menu. Click on the menu item labeled “Create a Shipment" to bring up the shipping label application.
- Type the shipping information for the destination into the first box. Type the shipping information for the origination into the second box.
- Enter the package information into the third box, including the type of package, number of packages and value of the packages. Enter the shipping service you wish to use into the fourth box.
- Enter any reference numbers for the shipment into the fifth box and payment information into the sixth box.
- Click the button marked "Next," which will take you to the next page in the shipping label application. This page allows you to correct errors in the shipping information.
- Click the button marked “Print” to print the shipping label on your printer. Cut out the shipping label, and tape the label to the package. Use self-adhesive paper to avoid using tape.
