How to Customize Baptism Invitations
Customizing baptism or any invitation is much easier these days than it used to be. This is thanks to computers and editing software that is readily available. You can do these at home or you can take them to a store that has a photo section or you can even order them online quickly.
- Take pictures ahead of time of your child in their baptism outfit. Use this picture on the front of your invitation. Other photo ideas are pictures of the baby with his or her Godparents or pictures of the baby with Mom and Dad.
- Make your own invitations instead of purchasing store-bought invitations. These will be totally customized and unique to you and your family. Since you made these, you know that the invitations will not be available anywhere else. Buy card and invitation making software for your computer to make this easy to do.
- Visit an online site that specializes in making custom cards and invitations. You can then upload pictures and fill in your information. You can choose the layout you like, the font and colors. Be sure to preview the invitation to be sure that it looks nice and that there are no errors. Pay for and submit your order and you the invitations will be sent to you.
- Hire a person who does calligraphy to hand write your invitations and envelopes. Many invitations are filled in by computer these days; a beautifully handwritten one will be something different and unique.
- Write a poem for your baby and have it printed on the inside of the invitation.
- Think about invitations other than the traditional card type that people are used to. Have invitation cookies made up and delivered by you and some helpers. Each helper can be responsible for a certain number of deliveries. Of course, it does not have to be cookies; anything that you can write the information on will do.
