How to Make Homemade Baptism Invitations

A Baptism is a very exciting time for new parents. This is a chance for new parents to show their baby off to the world and dedicate the baby to the church. People of all ages are being baptized and celebrating through parties and invitations.  Making a homemade baptism invitation can give it a personal touch and a lasting impression for a baptism of any age.

  1. Choose a paper design. Your invitations need to be printed on heavy or lightweight stock paper. This special paper can be purchased online or through a local paper depot. Depending on your preference, many other styles of paper are available. Make sure to buy a few extra sheets, just in case you make a mistake while printing.

  2. Decide on a font. Go through a few different kinds of font to pick a small number of favorites. Narrow your selection down to one before printing.

  3. Pick out a favorite picture. A picture is always a nice touch to any sort of invitation. Potential attendees of the baptism love to see a picture of a loved one they are about to support.

  4. Give the printer a quick check. Before you set up all your supplies, make sure your printer is working. Check the colored and black ink before starting the invitation project.

  5. Print out a few copies for a test. Now is the time to perfect your invitation. Print out a few sample invitations to make sure you have your chosen design down.

  6. Make homemade envelopes. Certain kinds of paper allow for you to make your own envelopes as well. You can pre-print addresses on these envelopes for faster processing.
