How to Customize Outlook Calendar Print Styles
Outlook offers a calendar feature, which is both convenient and easy to access in the Outlook program. There may be times, however, when a simple calendar is not sufficient for your purposes. You have the option in Outlook to customize your calendar for printing.
Customizing your calendar:
- While working in Outlook 2007, choose the "calendar" icon on the navigation section. You will have choices of different calendars. Choose the one you want to use. Once you have chosen your calendar, click on "file" and then "print." Choose your print style by picking one from the list on "print style."
- Choose "define styles," which will bring up the Define Style dialogue box. Click on "edit," then the "format" tab. Customize your page layout by the "layout" drop-down menu and choosing from the options. You can incorporate different tasks into the calendar by using the "task" list. You can also add an area for notes, which will give you space for appointment, events, and other date-sensitive items. In the "include" section, pick the style you want to use and place a check in it. You can choose a specific period you want the calendar to incorporate by using the "print from" feature.
- Choose the font you want for your date headings by using the "font" section. You can also add shading to the document by placing a check in the "print using gray shading" choice. You can then choose your paper size and margins by using the "paper" tab. Customized headers and footers can be added to the design with the "header/footer" tab.
- You can review the changes by clicking on the "print preview" option. If satisfied, get out of the print preview option by clicking "close" in that window. You can then save your changes by clicking on "ok." The document is then ready for printing.
