How To Cut Boy's Hair
Select guards for your clippers. A #4 guard will leave the hair half an inch long. The lower numbers will leave the hair short. The higher numbers will leave the hair longer.
Drape a cape around the boy to keep hair off of him. A towel will work well also.
Begin cutting on the side of the head in an upward motion. Take the clippers towards the temple. The temple will be your stopping point with the clippers. Continue cutting around the entire head.
Change the guard on the clippers to a guard that is one or two numbers higher than the one you started with. You will use this one to cut below the temple. Cut the remaining hair.
Check the entire head for any missed spots.
Clean up any long pieces around the ears.
Remove the guard from the clippers. Shape the neckline. Shape the neckline into a round or square shape.
