How to Decorate a Bagel Shop

Two very important points to remember in bringing in a large customer base to a bagel shop are location and the decoration of the shop. Decorating a bagel shop is a fairly easy task and can be accomplished in a very short and timely manner.

1. Look at the lease for the shop and verify if it is permissible to advertise outside the shop. Once this is determined to be acceptable, place a tent sign on the sidewalk that displays the shops logo and the hours of operation. The sign can include a current lunch special on any given day, or a special promotion that will draw in many customers looking for a new place to eat and also to enjoy a deliciously baked bagel made right there on the spot.

2. Choose small yet sturdy and comfortable furniture which includes tables and chairs, The tables can easily be moved together to make them large enough for a large group of office workers or even college students to come in and enjoy a bagel along with their favorite flavor of cream cheese and a fruit juice.

3. Decorate the menu board of the shop with pictures, the use of various colors and font sizes in the menu heading, can make the menu board very attractive and draw special attention to the special promotion offered for the day.

4.Place pictures on the wall of the bagel shop that show how the bagels are made, families enjoying the bagels and also pictures of the various juices, teas and or coffee beverages that go well with the bagels.

5. Install a window in the front of the area where the bagels are made, place tables and chairs in the area for the customers viewing of   the bagel making process while they are also eating and enjoying the bagels.

 6. Set up a display case near the cash register, which stocks cream cheeses and juices for sale to the customers, This can also provide a good marketing function for the shop.
