How to Design Business Cards With Pictures
Business cards can be a costly expense for a new business or a sole proprietor just starting out. In order to defray some of these costs, small businesses have found that they can actually design cards and print them using their computer.
What you will need:
Microsoft Word 2007 or higher, business card template
Designing the cards:
- Open Microsoft Word, and make sure you are connected to the Internet. Once opened, click on the help icon (the small question mark on the right corner of your screen at the top). This lets you get to the templates option.
- Click on "Templates", located at the top. This will open the Microsoft Office web page. Once there, click on the "Templates Categories", which will take you to the link for business cards.
- Once you click "business cards", you will have a choice of featured templates. You can expand the list of templates, if none of these are suitable for your purposes, by changing the Community Content to "Unfiltered," which will bring up additional templates.
- Once you have located the template that you want, click "download," and then accept the terms required for downloading onto your computer. In some cases, you will have to accept a download for Active X. Once this has been done, the business cards will automatically open in Microsoft Word.
- On the cards, highlight the text section. You can then type in your desired information. This can be any information you want on the card.
- There will be a logo on the card template. Click on it and "Change Selected Picture." This will allow you to add the custom picture you want to use. Put it where you want it on the card design, then click on the Office button to save your work. Your card is then ready to print.
