How to Design Dinnerware and Have it Manufactured
Whether you wish to have your own personalized set of dinnerware, or you want to provide a special gift to a loved one, you have the ability to create your own designs. Take the time to think about the design you want to use and have it manufactured for your own purposes.
- Purchase a design kit from a craft store. This is the ideal option if the dinnerware material you are using is melamine. On the other hand, if the material you are using is bone or porcelain, you will simply send your design into a manufacturing company for them to create it for you.
- Create your design according to the theme in your kitchen. Keep in mind that certain colors blend well together better than others. If you have decided to create a design for this dinnerware as a gift to a loved one, make sure you know the colors that they have in their kitchen theme. If there is no way for you to find this out without seeming obvious, choose some of their favorite colors.
- Send your design into the manufacturer along with the bare dinnerware if you already purchased it. If you simply want to send in the design for the manufacturer to transfer it to the dishes, you can opt to do so. Just make sure that you have selected the type of pieces you wish to order and the number of pieces you wish to include whether you want it to feed four, six or eight people.
