How to Design Public Golf Courses

Golf courses can be fun and relaxing escapes from society. Golfers may spend days, nights and weekends playing on a course. They are very appreciative of designers of the locations where they play. You can design a golf course by following a few quick and easy steps.

  1. Determine what type of climate that your golf course will be located in. Some courses are on plush landscapes on tropical islands. They have views of sandy beaches and trees with coconuts in them. Others are in mountains and have views of wildlife and forests. Courses can be designed anywhere that there are beautiful views.

  2. Determine what your budget will be. You will need to manage the finances and make sure that you will be able to complete the project. It can easily cost millions of dollars to have a course created. However, you can work on a small budget if you carefully manage the finances and calculate the expenses.

  3. Decide what type of special features and landmarks that you course will have. It could have a banquet hall, clubhouse, restaurant or gold store located in it. Also, you could choose to design it with a few lakes, rivers, islands, ponds or creeks. It is important to be creative and design the features to be distinctive.

  4. Draw a large pictures of each hole and the entire course. This should be done on a large paper. It should tell you how long each hole will be. The dimensions of every part of the course should be on it.

  5. Write down exactly what materials will be needed to make complete the gold course. This should include calculations of all of the expenses in order to complete the task.

  6. Show your designed golf course to a lawyer and engineers. You will need to follow local laws and the course will need to be able to last for a long period of time without becoming destroyed.
