  1. Look for inspiration. Different designers get inspired in different ways in order to create their masterpieces.

  2. Search online and in magazines. You may feel inspired after looking at a number of different wedding gowns.

  3. Sketch out your ideas. Sketching is important because it gives you an idea of what you want to design. You can create your sketches with a pencil so that if any changes need to be made, you can easily use an eraser.

  4. Decide what types of fabrics you will use on the wedding gown that you have sketched out. You may need to use a number of different and fabrics and patterns depending on how complex your design may be.

  5. Purchase the fabric and patterns that you need to bring your dress to life.

  6. Get the measurements you need. You may need to borrow a friend or family member for proper measurements.

  7. Cut the fabric and start sewing pieces together. You can sew some of the pieces together by hand but you may need to use a sewing machine for some parts of the gown.

  8. Have the bride-to-be try on the wedding gown before you are completely finished. You may need to make some alterations or adjustments to ensure that the gown fits properly and perfectly.

  9. Finish sewing the gown. Once you have completed sewing the pieces of the gown together, you can add any embellishments.

  10. Add any finishing touches to the gown. Continue this process for all of the wedding gowns you create.
