How to Divide a Page in Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word is used to write, edit, view and print documents including letters and research papers. This program also has many other features when there is a need to create something special like greeting cards and booklets. For this reason being able to divide the standard size paper can give you a more creative template.

  1. Open Microsoft Word. Create a new document or open an existing document. To create a new document go to “File” and then “New.” To open an existing document, go to “File” and “Open.”

  2. Click on the "Page Layout" ribbon at the top of the screen.

  3. Find the section titled "Page Setup," and click the dialog launcher. The dialog launcher is the small arrow located in the bottom right corner of the section.

  4. Click the arrow next to the drop-down menu titled "Multiple Pages" and select "2 Pages per Sheet."

  5. Choose either "Portrait" or "Landscape" orientation for the document. Portrait will orient the document vertically, while Landscape will orient the document horizontally. Select "OK."
