How to Donate Men's Business Suits

When you have a business suit that you do not wear anymore, donating it to charity is something that you should consider doing. Business suits can be used by men who are looking for employment. There are many places that take clothing donations. Finding these places is not that difficult.

  • Make sure that the business suit
is in good condition before you donate it. Taking it to have it dry
    cleaned is a good idea.

  • Look online for charitable
organizations in your area. Simply type “clothing donations (your
zip code)” into your favorite search engine. The returning list
will be populated with organizations that take clothing donations.
Contact the organizations and see if any of the groups are
interested in your business suit donation.

  • Check with your local church.
Churches accept donations and use donations to help out church
members. The churches also use donations to help out members of the
    surrounding community.

  • Take the business suit to the Red
Cross. The Red Cross has numerous drop off locations in the United
States. Simply visit redcross.org to find a Red Cross location close
    to where you live.

  • Contact the Goodwill. Visit its website at goodwill.org to find Goodwill locations in your local
    area.

  • Check with the clothing retailer
The Men's Wearhouse. This retailer accepts suit donations and
    usually holds a clothing drive.

  • Be aware that some groups will
actually come to your home to pick up your donations. If getting the
business suit to the group that you are donating it to is a problem,
ask a member of the group if the group can come pick it up from your
    home.
