How to Download Video Games

Video games are widely available in just about any retail store you go to, whether you shop at Walmart or Game Stop. In addition to physically purchasing these video games, you also have the option of downloading your favorite games from the Internet in the comfort of your own home.

  1. Open your Internet browser, whether you operate primarily from Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or another type of program.

  2. Navigate to the website where you wish to download your game, or games, of choice. For instance, online download options are available at sites that include Gamespot.com, Spawnpoint.com, Gametop.com and Gamezone.com. There are many other sites that offer you the option to download video games, so do your research to find the best one for you.

  3. Search for the game you wish to download. Either type in the name of the game if you already have an idea of what you want, or browse the site for available games to download.

  4. Click “Download” once you have selected the game you want and ensure that your computer meets the required specifications.

  5. Install the game onto your computer, once the download is complete. In order to do this, simply double click on the video game file and the automatic installer will launch. Click “OK” to continue with the process and go through the prompts, until you have successfully completed the download.

  6. Launch the game and play until your heart is content. You now have the video game ready to access any time you want on your computer. Repeat these steps if you wish to download another game.
