How to Drive Stick

Cars are convenient and personal methods of transportation. Cars are available with either automatic or manual transmission. People often refer to driving a manual transmission as driving stick. To learn how to drive stick follow the easy step-by-step guide below.

Step 1: Press down the brake pedal with your right foot.

Step 2: Press down the clutch with your left foot.

Step 3: While holding down both pedals move the gearshift into first gear.

Step 4: Release the brake.

Step 5: Slowly press on the gas pedal and ease your foot off the clutch. This will allow your car to drive in first gear.

Step 6: When the car revs to 3,000 RPM, you need to shift to a higher gear.

Step 7: Press down the clutch and move the gearshift into second gear. Repeat these steps until you reach your desired speed.
