How to Drive in the Snow

Snow is a common weather condition in many parts of the world. Driving in the snow can be scary and often dangerous. Many car wrecks that occur in the snow are caused by people who do not change the way they drive to fit the conditions. This article will tell you how to drive in the snow.

Step 1: Keep an ice scraper in your car. You will need to scrape away any snow or ice that accumulates on the windshield and windows of your car.

Step 2: Fill your windshield washer reservoir with De-icing fluid. This will help melt the snow and ice and make it easier for the windshield wipers to wipe it away.

Step 3: Make sure your gas tank is full. You do not want to run out of gas on a cold snowy day.

Step 4: Drive slowly. It is important to keep your speed down when driving in the snow. Snow makes the roads slippery, driving at a slower speed will give you more time to react or stop if necessary.

Step 5: Do not slam on the brakes or hold the brake pedal if sliding. This will lock of the brakes and make the car harder to steer. If you find your car is sliding, try to stay calm and steer the car to safety.
