How to Dye Blonde Hair to Black
If you have blonde hair and you are looking for a way to drastically change your looks you should consider dying your hair black. It would probably surprise you how many people you see every day with black hair that were formerly blondes. It is an inexpensive, easy way to alter your appearance and it is something you can do yourself.
How to Dye Blonde Hair to Black
- Buy two semi-permanent hair colors, which can be purchased at your local beauty supply store. It is best to purchase a product that does not contain ammonia because it can strip important nutrients from your hair. You will need to buy one brown and one black. The semi-permanent coloring should last approximately 28 days.
- Ask a friend to help you if this is the first time you have ever dyed your hair.
- Read the instructions on the box before you begin the process.
- Put on a pair of latex gloves to protect your hands and an old shirt or cape to protect your clothing.
- Part your hair in four sections and starting at the front of your head apply the brown dye to your hair. Make sure you are getting the dye all the way to the root of the hair. Keep working your way to the back of the head.
- Open the black dye and apply it over the brown dye you just applied. Be careful not to miss any areas.
- Allow the dye to remain on your hair for the amount of time stated on the directions.
- Wash hair and apply a deep conditioner for color treated hair.
- Rinse, dry and style as normal.
