How to Enjoy New Purses

No matter how cute a new purse is, there is often a small period of adjustment the first time that you carry it. This is especially true if you are switching to a smaller or larger size or if you haven't changed purses in a while. There are, however, ways that you can get the most enjoyment from your new purse from the first moment that you put it on your arm.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the interior of your new purse. Identify where all of the pockets, zippers and compartments are located in comparison to your old purse.

  2. Plan out what you'll want to carry in your new purse. This is important if your new purse is smaller than the previous one. If that is the case, determine what items you must have on you and what items you can live without.

  3. Transfer your belongings from the old purse to your new one after you've decided what you'll put in it. Even if your new purse is a similar size as your old one, use this as an opportunity to clean up your purse and get rid of any unnecessary items. This includes any junk that you've been planning to toss out but haven't gotten around to doing.

  4. Organize the contents of your purse. If you have a habit of not being able to find what you're looking for, the simple act of taking a few moments to organize your purse's interior will increase your enjoyment of it. For example, if you carry lip gloss and a tube of lipstick with you at all times, place them in a zippered pocket so that you can find them every time that you need them.
