Environmentally friendly green dry cleaners are becoming more and more popular. They are still not, however, as popular as conventional cleaners that use dry cleaning chemicals to clean your clothes. Look in the yellow pages. Under the heading of dry cleaners, browse the dry cleaners advertisements in the yellow pages of your telephone book. If a dry cleaners is a green dry cleaners, their advertising will most likely reflect that fact. If their ads don't contain the words, "green," look for the words, "environmentally friendly," "non-toxic" or "chemical-free" in the ads.
Check with the manager. You may not know it, but your neighborhood dry cleaners may indeed be a green dry cleaners. They might not have had the chance to change their outdoor signage, but with the popularity of green dry cleaning products and being environmentally friendly, many dry cleaners have incorporated these practices into their businesses.
