How to Find Lizard Cages
While some people balk at the mention of a lizard, most are harmless and can make very good pets. With close to 3,800 species, you are bound to find one that you will enjoy. To ensure that it does not escape and wander into a dangerous environment, you should invest in a good lizard cage to keep both you and your reptile friend happy.
- Go to your local pet store. Many pet stores specialize in exotic pets and carry a variety of types and sizes of cages. Ask a store associate if you are having a difficult time selecting a cage, as they may be knowledgeable in animal cages. If they don’t have the size or style of lizard cage you are looking for, they may be able to special order it or suggest another pet store that would carry it.
- Look online at such websites such as Craigslist or eBay. If you don’t mind purchasing a used cage, you may be able to find one for much cheaper. You can usually find animal supply products under “general” or “household items” on Craigslist, and eBay has a reptile supplies category. You can also perform a Google shopping search and look for lizard cages.
- Look in a reptile magazine or journal. Several of these publications have advertisements that are directed toward reptile owners or potential owners. The magazine Reptiles is published monthly and offers care tips, advice, and information on various types of reptiles.
- Build your own lizard cage if you prefer. This will allow you to customize it exactly to your needs. There are several plans and ideas online that are tailored to specific lizards that are very easy to follow.
