Shopping at the Goodwill is a great way to save money on clothes. Many people donate their old clothes that they do not want any more. You can find many trendy clothes with a little searching and good timing. There are special steps to take when shopping Goodwill merchandise.

• Find out when Goodwill put their merchandise out on the floor. Some locations restock every day while other locations may have special days they put their merchandise out on the floor.

• Search for items according to colors. So if you are looking for a particular style, you will have to look for it in the color you desire. If you don’t find it in that color, it does not mean they don’t have it, you just will need to search in another color.

• Take your time and search each rack and article of clothing. There are many great items that can be found at the Goodwill store.

• Travel to different Goodwill stores. Just because one location does not have what you are looking to purchase, does not mean you will not find it at another one.

• Shop in good areas of town. Most Goodwill stores in an upscale part of town may have better selections of clothing. Many of these people may take their items to the Goodwill after wearing them only one time.

• Search in the children’s department. You will find them separate from the adult section. Look for fun and trendy colors that both boys and girls will enjoy wearing.

• Check in the dollar bins. You can find trendy items that may be in season or out of season in these bins. Most of the bins will have children and adult clothes mixed in. This is where you can usually find sale items.
