How to Sell Clothes to an Army Military Surplus Store

How to Find an Army Military Surplus Store

When the Army or any other military branch orders supplies, they usually order more than they think they will need to ensure all service members are properly outfitted and ready for combat. Sometimes overstocked items go into storage and then eventually to auction. At auction they can be purchased by a private dealer and then sold at military surplus stores.

  • Look online. Some Army military surplus stores may not have websites. However a quick check of an online mapping tool should let you know where the Army military surplus store is located.

  • Check camping stores. Some camping supply stores may also stock military surplus items. The quality and sturdiness of the military items make them ideal purchases for campers.

  • Check hunting stores. Just like campers, hunters like to purchase military surplus items. Many of the clothing items are ideal for hunting and some hunting stores may carry a limited supply of surplus items.

  • Drive around town. One of the least efficient ways to find a military surplus store is to drive around your town. Military surplus stores are generally found in outlet malls and may have red, white and blue signs. Keep an eye open as you are driving around town to see if you can find one in your area.

  • Check close to military bases. If you live in a town with a military base, chances are there is a military surplus store near you. It may be easier for dealers to buy surplus supplies closer to the military base, therefore they may keep their stores close to the military base.
