Everyone is not so fortunate to have a garage to store their car in during inclement weather. Hail damage is one of the most common types of car damage during a storm. There are ways that hail dents can be removed without having to take the car to a body shop.

Park the car so that it is exposed to direct sunlight. The hot sun will heat the metal on the body of the car, which will cause the metal to expand. The expanding metal will pop the hail dent out. This has to be done every day for approximately one week to get the best results.
Another method would be to use a hair dryer or a heat gun on the highest setting to heat the dent. While the area is still hot, apply a cold wet cloth to the area. The dent will pop right out. Be very careful if you are using a heat gun, because it could damage the paint on the car if you get the paint too hot.
