How to Fix a Battery
There is a chance that you have a damaged battery if you hear a sizzling sound coming from under the hood, white residue around the battery tray, and the bolts that tie the battery down have come undone. You can fix a car battery if you use caution because it can be dangerous.
How to Fix a Battery
Wear protective clothing. These items should include long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, glasses, and gloves.
Place the battery on the ground. Make sure the damaged area is facing upwards. Place something between yourself and the battery. You could use a board.
Clean around the damaged area and make sure it is completely dry around the area.
Cut a piece of the plastic handle from the battery but make sure it is better than the damaged area.
Melt the plastic piece around the edges. Place the plastic piece over the damaged area while it is still hot. Make sure the plastic piece is bonded to the battery.
Fill the battery cells with distilled water if the battery is not a sealed battery.
Place the battery in the vehicle.
