How to Get Paint Off a Ceramic Tile Floor
Materials Needed
- Gel paint remover
- Paintbrush with soft bristles
- Gloves
- Old sheet cut into strips
- Bucket
- Clean cloth
- Avoid using any harsh chemicals on the tile. Do not use sandpaper or any tools that have sharp edges to remove the paint. You can choose from many types of paint removers but the best one is a gel paint remover that is safe for the floor as well as the environment.
- Cut several strips from an old sheet. You will use these after you have applied the gel remover over the paint stains.
- Dip a paintbrush with soft bristles in the gel paint remover. Apply the remover over all of the areas that have acquired paint stains. You will only need one layer of remover but make sure it is a thick layer.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands. Press the strips from the sheet over the top of the remover. Press the strips into the paint remover. Allow the strips to sit for about 30 minutes. Remove the strips. The paint should be absorbed into the strips.
- Fill a bucket with warm water. Use the warm water and a clean cloth to rinse the remover from the tile. Allow the area to dry.
