How to Get Pin Straight Hair

If you've ever wanted pin straight hair like models on the runway, you can achieve it with a few materials, a little time and a few easy steps. Whether you are straightening curly hair, wavy hair or even already straight hair that needs an extra boost, pin straight hair can be obtained. You'll have the look you want in no time.

1.  Collect materials. You'll need straitening shampoo and conditioner, a towel, a straightening product, a blow dryer, a wide-tooth comb, and a flat iron.

2.  Wash and condition hair. Using a straightening shampoo and conditioner, wash and condition hair thoroughly. Follow the specific directions on the shampoo and conditioner bottles. Make sure to rinse hair using cold water so hair does not damage.

3.  Towel dry hair. Gently squeeze excess water from hair using a towel. Do not twist hair in the towel or use a rough motion to dry hair, or hair could become damaged. After this step, hair will still be slightly damp.

4.  Rub a leave-in straightening product into hair. Straightening products are used to help relax and straighten hair. You can find them at most grocery stores in the hair care aisle, at hair salons, and at beauty stores. Straightening products come in different forms; gels, sprays, liquid, and wax. Choose one that you feel most comfortable working with. Rub it into hair and leave it. Do not rinse it out.

5.  Blow dry or naturally dry hair completely. Using a wide tooth comb, comb hair while it dries. To speed dry, use a blow dryer. You can also use a comb and blow dryer in one to give an extra straightening boost.

6.  Pull hair through a hair straightener or flat iron. After flat iron is heated, pull small sections of hair through flat iron until all of hair has been straightened.

7.  Repeat step six until hair is straightened to desired look.
