How to Get a Cricket Internet Phone Service on Treo 700W

If you own a Cricket Treo 700W wireless phone and you want to be able to access the Internet it can easily be done in a matter of minutes. You could surf online or download from your phone instead of using your laptop.

1. Go into the Cricket store and tell a representative you want to add a plan on your phone that includes Internet service. You can also call them on the phone if you prefer.


2. Access the settings application on your phone by clicking on the "connections" tab.


3. Click on "manage connections" and then select "modem." There will be a link to appear and you will need to click on the link to add a new connection.


4. Type in the name for your wireless connection in the space provided.


5. Go to the modem type drop down menu and select "cellular line."


6. Select the "next" icon located on the screen and enter "777" in the number field, then select "next" again.


7. Enter your cellular phone number in the user name field. It should be entered beginning with the area code first and followed by @mycricket.com.


8. Enter the word "cricket" when it asks you to put in a password. After doing this you will need to select the "finish" icon. Do not enter anything in the domain field.


9. Go back to the connections tab and select "edit proxy server."


10. Enter "wap.mycricet.com" and then click on the tab marked "advance."


11. Select the network you created, and then select "allow network to connect programs to the Internet."


12. Select "OK" and proceed on to the web browser.


13. Enter "http://wap.motrocity.com" when the address field populates on the screen. You are now ready to browse on the web.
