How to Hide a Nose Piercing
Nose rings can be a fun and stylish form of self-expression. While a ring may perfectly suit your personal sense of style, there are certain occasions and places where they may not be acceptable. For example, some employers have policies in place that forbid the wearing of nose rings while in the workplace. In these cases, you will need to hide them so that they are less visible.
Unhealed Nose Piercing
- Wash your hands.
- Cut a small piece off of a new flesh colored bandage. It should be large enough to cover the nose ring, but not so large that it covers most of your nostril.
- Place the bandage over the ring.
- If you know that you'll need to hide your nose ring when you originally get your piercing, buy a stud that closely matches your skin tone. This is important as you are unable to remove the piercing until you've properly healed, which may take up to four months.
Healed Nose Piercing
- Wash your hands thoroughly before handling your ring.
- Take out your current nose ring.
- Insert a clear plastic retainer in its place. This will make the opening less visible or it may have the appearance of a small bump.
