How to Identify Buick Models

It can be difficult for the average person to determine if a car is actual a Buick Model. There are certain features that can be found to make this determination. One characteristic alone does not confirm this, but the combination of several can.

  1. Check the grill of the car. Buicks are known for the shape of their grills. These are made in the form of a shield in which the bottom is narrow and the sides are rounded up to the wide top of the grill. The middle of the grill has the unmistakable Buick emblem.

  2. Verify the headlights are legitimate Buick headlight. These would be in a unique teardrop shape.

  3. Consider other features. Buicks have a special smooth feel to their door handles. There is also the antenna to think about. It should be position in the middle of the back of the car.

  4. Look inside the car. Sit inside it if possible. That infamous Buick emblem should be in the middle of the steering wheel. Many Buick models are decked out with wood paneling, and you should also confirm the location of the gear shifter.

  5. Make a determination based on your findings. The presence or absence of just one of these items cannot be the determine factor. It is possible, especially in older car models, for changes to have been made. A non-Buick model car may have a Buick grill, but a Buick car may have a replacement grill. These are just repairs and replacements that have been made throughout the years.
